AODA Customer Service Standards – Our course consists of three sessions. In 2005, the Government of Ontario passed AODA. What does AODA stand for? It is the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.

Its goal is to make Ontario accessible by 2025, by creating and enforcing accessibility standards.

As well as the Online AODA training, also included is the Accessibility Standard for Customer Service employer handbook.

The course duration is approximately 45 minutes.

AODA Online Training

Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Training is about understanding that people with disabilities may have unique needs and it applies to all people or organizations in Ontario that provide goods or services and have one or more employees.

Course Details

AODA Certificate

Session 1

Session 1 explains the history of and the background of AODA. Participants will learn what to expect from the AODA training, the goal and the purpose of AODA. Also discussed are definitions of “Disability” and the requirements of providers, who must take follow the Ontarians with disabilities act training.

AODA Online Training Ontario

Session 3

Session 3 covers Serving Peoples with Disabilities. AODA Customer Service training outlines proper speech. Instead of “handicap training “, “serving a person with a disability training”.

AODA Customer Service Training shows how to provide service with people with unique needs.

Ontario disability act training

Session 2

Session 2 covers Understanding Disabilities. AODA training Ontario details the disabilities and how they present themselves. Whether it is visual disabilities to hearing disabilities to learning disabilities, they are covered for the AODA requirements Ontario has laid out.

Summary

To complete this training course, the training must include a review of the purpose of the Act and the requirements of this Regulation and instruction about how to interact with persons with diverse types of disabilities and how to interact with persons with disabilities who use an assistive devise and other requirements.
